Nancy Pelosi is "almost too busy" to listen to the debt limit meetings

Nancy Pelosi is back for her fourth appearance here on Douche of the Day, this time for two reasons:

  • She thinks she's too important to do her job. (Check out 0:55 in the video below.)
  • She declared the Barack Obama has more patience than Job. Yes, Biblical Job (pronounced (Joe - b), from the Old Testament. To put it in perspective, Job was a rich guy with a wife and ten kids. They all died, he lost everything he had, and was covered with a multitude of diseases, but he never once accused God of any injustice (the patience Pelosi is referring to). (Read a summary of the story here.)

The arrogance of this woman is unbelievable. Of course, we all remember this moment:

I can't wait until she's voted out of office.

To be honest, the fact that Pelosi even knew the story of Job is kind of amazing.

Nancy Pelosi admits the American people are irrelevant to the Democrats in Congress

To me, it sounds like Pelosi is accidentally admitting that healthcare reform had nothing to do with helping all Americans get "quality" health insurance. The liberals have an agenda and are carrying it out, regardless of what is good for the American people. Of course, we've known this all along. It's just nice to see Pelosi come out and admit it.

And by the way, Nancy Pelosi is officially the most popular topic on Douche of the Day. Probably not something to be too proud of, Nancy!

Pelosi: ‘We Didn’t Lose Because of Me’

“We didn’t lose the election because of me,” Ms. Pelosi told National Public Radio in an interview that aired Friday morning. “Our members do not accept that.”

“The reason they had to take me down is because I’ve been effective in fighting special interests in Washington, D.C.,” Ms. Pelosi said, citing the health insurance and financial services industries. “I’m effective. They had to take me out. I’m also the most significant attractor to support for the Democrats.”

Nancy Pelosi wins today's Douche of the Day award, not because of whether or not her statements are accurate, but because she stated them at all. Sensible people would realize it's not polite to tell others about how great you are.

Reminds me of someone else's humility, also referenced on this blog.
